When the contact period opens up for the 2026 class next month, I sincerely hope that Syracuse basketball coaches offer a scholarship to four-star combo guard Parker Robinson.

The 6-foot-5 Robinson, in late August of last year, took an unofficial visit to the Hill to compete in the Orange's annual Elite Camp.

Robinson, who hails from Maryland, has played at a high level so far this spring while suiting up for the 16U squad of the Baltimore-based Team Melo in Nike's EYBL League. In the three EYBL sessions that he has played in, Robinson is averaging 16.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest, according to that league's Web site.

As a freshman, Robinson played for Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md. This past season, as a sophomore in the 2023-24 campaign, he competed in the Atlanta-based professional league Overtime Elite.

In recent days, Robinson has been playing in Germany for the U18 Overtime Elite team at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament. Numerous analysts and scouts have praised Robinson for his play overseas.

Syracuse basketball, hopefully, will offer 2026 four-star combo guard Parker Robinson.

According to his X page, Robinson recently scored offers from Providence and West Virginia, with other prior offers from Illinois, Towson, East Carolina and Old Dominion. Next month, college coaches will be able to start initiating direct communication with 2026 prospects, and it would shock me if Robinson's offer sheet doesn't significantly expand then.

In addition to his offer sheet likely expected to blow up, Robinson is poised to see his 2026 rankings greatly climb sooner rather than later. For the moment, ESPN has him as four stars, in the top 20 at shooting guard and within the top five in Maryland.

However, MADE Hoops scouting analyst Max Feldman noted in a recent post on X that when MADE Hoops updated its 2026 ratings not too long ago, Robinson soared into the top 60.

By extension, about a month ago, Rivals.com national analyst Rob Cassidy said that Robinson will be a part of the Rivals.com 2026 national rankings in the near future when the next update occurs from that recruiting service.

Cassidy wrote in a story that Robinson "boasts a versatile offensive game and is capable of scoring from all three levels when he’s going well ... While still young and slight, Robinson has the frame to beef up in the coming years and could add another dimension to his game as he does. He is already a gifted finisher around the basket."

This past season, Robinson suited up for the City Reapers in Overtime Elite, and his group won that league's championship in mid-March. One of his teammates with City Reapers was 2025 four-star point guard Tyler Jackson, who took an official visit to the Orange in late January of this year.

During the 2023-24 regular season with Overtime Elite, Robinson averaged 7.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game. In the playoffs, he averaged 7.6 points and 2.8 boards in 15.2 minutes per contest, while connecting on 45.0 percent from beyond the arc.
