Isaac Chukwurah, a 2026 three-star defensive lineman who is verbally committed to Penn State, has scheduled an official visit to Syracuse football.
The 6-foot-2, 260-pound Chukwurah, who plays high school ball in Delaware, will take an official visit to the Orange on November 29 for the team's 2025 regular-season finale at home against Boston College, I'm told.
Chukwurah is on an official visit to fellow Atlantic Coast Conference team N.C. State this weekend, and he plans to officially visit West Virginia on November 22. Brian Dohn, a national analyst with 247Sports, first reported on Chukwurah's upcoming official visit to the 'Cuse earlier on Friday.

Earlier this month, Chukwurah took an unofficial visit to the Hill to watch the Orange's Atlantic Coast Conference encounter against Pittsburgh at the JMA Wireless Dome. That same weekend, he picked up a scholarship offer from the 'Cuse coaching staff.

The 6’2 260 DL from Bear, DE is currently committed to Penn State but recently reopened his recruitment. He is ranked as one of the best players in the state of Delaware.

On October 12, Penn State fired its head coach, James Franklin. Chukwurah had verbally committed to the Nittany Lions back in April. However, after Franklin was fired, Chukwurah said that he would remain verbally pledged to Penn State while also reopening his recruitment.
Within the 2026 class, Rivals has Chukwurah as the No. 29 defensive lineman. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite places him at No. 506 nationally, No. 60 at defensive lineman and No. 2 in Delaware.
Since the news of Franklin's firing, Syracuse football coaches have reached out to a handful of 2026 and 2027 high school prospects who were either verbally committed to Penn State or remain pledged to the Nittany Lions.
On October 22, 2026 three-star defensive lineman Alexander Haskell of the St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia flipped from Penn State to the Orange. Khalil Taylor of Pine-Richland High School in Gibsonia, Pa., a 2027 four-star wide receiver, visited the 'Cuse for the Pittsburgh game.
Kemon Spell, a 2027 five-star running back out of McKeesport Area Senior High School in McKeesport, Pa., also plans to visit Syracuse football on November 29 for the affair against Boston College, I've been told.
