Zion Green, as far as I can tell, was the top 2027 target for Syracuse basketball under then-head coach Adrian Autry and his staff.
I anticipated that the new Orange staff, led by first-year head coach Gerry McNamara, would re-offer the Philadelphia product, a four-star power forward and top-30 national prospect in the rising high school senior class.
For once, I was right!
Five-star rising senior Zion Green has established himself as one of the most impressive prospects in the 2027 class. He talked recruiting with @Stockrisers; Michigan Post-Dusty, Alabama, Syracuse, Villanova, & More.

Per an article on Friday from recruiting analyst Jake Weingarten, McNamara and his assistants have re-offered a scholarship to the ultra-talented, 6-foot-9 wing. A huge congrats to Zion!
Green told Weingarten that he's high on the new 'Cuse staff, led by McNamara, who is trying to get SU back to the annual NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021.
Syracuse basketball is in pursuit of 2027 four-star power forward Zion Green.
The former Orange coaching staff first offered a scholarship to Green in late June of 2024. According to recruiting services, his full offer sheet, besides Syracuse basketball, includes Ole Miss, Alabama, Kansas, Auburn, Providence, N.C. State, Maryland, Mississippi State, Kansas State, Seton Hall, Penn State, Washington, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, Villanova, Michigan and UTEP.
Within the 2027 class, Green's highest national ranking comes courtesy of Rivals, which places him at No. 15 around the country in his cycle. Green is a standout rising senior at Mt. Zion Prep in Lanham, Md., which is a member of the powerhouse Grind Session.

In early October of last year, the full Syracuse basketball staff, led by Autry, was in for Green at Mt. Zion Prep amid the fall recruiting period. Last August, he took an unofficial visit to the Orange, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Green officially visits SU at some point in the future.
