Zion Green, an elite prospect from the Philadelphia market, will take an unofficial visit to Syracuse basketball later this week, a source confirmed to me on Tuesday.
Dushawn London, a 247Sports national analyst, first reported this news earlier on Tuesday. The 6-foot-8 Green, a 2027 five-star power forward and top-15 overall player in this class, will visit the Orange on August 29 and also take an unofficial visit to Villanova on September 16.

The 'Cuse coaching staff offered a scholarship to Green in late June of last year. He's one of at least 15 prospects in the 2027 class who have picked up an Orange offer at this juncture.
Syracuse basketball will get a visit from 2027 five-star power forward Zion Green.
In the 2023-24, Green played for Imhotep Institute Charter High School in Philadelphia, which that season went 29-3 overall and won the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association ("PIAA") Class 5A championship.

In 2024-25, the rising junior suited up for Camden High School in Camden, N.J., which went 22-9 overall and claimed the South Jersey Group 2 sectional title. More recently, Green proved one of the most efficient scorers in the 16U division of Puma's PRO16 league while he played at a high level for the Philadelphia-based Team As Promised.

From a recruiting standpoint, besides the Orange, Green's offer sheet includes teams such as Mississippi State, Kansas State, Seton Hall, Penn State, UTEP, Maryland, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Villanova, Wake Forest and Washington.
According to the 247Sports Composite, he is rated five stars and No. 23 nationally in the 2027 cycle. His highest national ranking currently comes via Rivals, which has Green at No. 11 overall.
Syracuse basketball coaches are ramping up their 2027 recruiting efforts, buoyed by the contact period for this cycle opening on June 15. That allowed the 'Cuse staff to begin initiating direct communication with rising juniors.
