Boeheim's Army, which embarks on its journey to win the 2026 The Basketball Tournament ("TBT") in a matter of days, has a head coach along with two assistants who have ties to Syracuse basketball.
Syracuse.com reports that the head coach of Boeheim's Army this summer is Thomas Bridges. Most recently, in the 2025-26 season, Bridges served as an assistant coach with the Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets.
Prior roles for Bridges include two seasons as an assistant coach with the NBA G League's Osceola Magic (the affiliate of the Orlando Magic), four seasons as an assistant video coordinator with the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and a video coordinator with the Delaware Blue Coats (G League affiliate of the 76ers).
In 2025-26, Bridges worked alongside Boeheim's Army general manager Shaun Belbey, who served as the head video coordinator of the Long Island Nets. Last month, Belbey was named a producer/videographer for Syracuse basketball under first-year head coach Gerry McNamara.
Boeheim's Army, the collection of former Syracuse stars and others, is ready for its TBT run.
According to Syracuse.com, Belbey will also be an assistant coach for Boeheim's Army this summer. So, too, will Peter Corasaniti, a longtime member of the Syracuse basketball staff. Last season, Corasaniti was the director of operations under then-head coach Adrian Autry.
This past April, Corasaniti was named to a newly created position, associate athletics director of men's basketball and operations at Syracuse University. It's great to see Corasaniti joining Boeheim's Army for the 2026 TBT.
Here is Boeheim's Army's 10-player roster (four non-SU alums and six former Syracuse guys):
•Power forward Jacorey Williams, a 6-foot-9 player who suited up in college for Arkansas and Middle Tennessee State.
•Shooting guard Ty Nichols, a 6-foot-3 player out of Keene State College
•Point guard Tyson Walker, a 6-foot-1 player out of Northeastern and Michigan State
•Center Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu, a 6-foot-10 player out of UT Arlington and Memphis
•Forward Cole Swider
•Shooting guard Buddy Boeheim
•Guard Eric Devendorf
•Forward Jimmy Boeheim
•Wing Elijah Hughes
•Wing Wes Johnson
Boeheim's Army's first TBT opponent is a Seton Hall alumni squad, called Hall In. It will be a best-of-three series. Here's the schedule:
•Game one is on Tuesday, July 21, in South Orange, N.J.
•Game two is on Thursday, July 23, in Syracuse, N.Y.
•Game three, if necessary, is on Friday, July 24, in Syracuse
All of Boeheim's Army's games will air on either FS1 or FS2, and they are expected to tip off at 7 pm EST.
