Timi Aliu, a four-star offensive tackle in the 2027 class from Georgia, whom I had been previously told wanted to make a trip to Syracuse football, has locked in an SU official visit.

According to recruiting services, the 6-foot-5, 290-pound Aliu will take an official visit to the Orange from May 29 to May 31. Several other 'Cuse 2027 recruiting targets will officially visit the program that weekend, along with a couple of additional weekends in June.

Aliu was invited to play in the 2026 Under Armour All-America Game at the Spec Martin Memorial Stadium in DeLand, Fla., not far from Orlando, an annual event that took place in early January of this year.

Per Rivals, he has other official visits lined up to Illinois, Florida and Georgia. Aliu is a junior at Locust Grove High School in Locust Grove, Ga., which is not far from Atlanta. According to his X page, in the 2025 season, Locust Grove went 9-2 overall, and Aliu was named first-team All-Region.

Syracuse football will host 2027 four-star offensive tackle Timi Aliu on an official visit.

The Orange staff offered a scholarship to Aliu in early January of this year. His full offer sheet includes schools such as South Carolina, Arkansas, South Florida, Kentucky, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, East Carolina, Georgia State, Liberty and Sacramento State.

Within the 2027 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Aliu at No. 241 overall, No. 26 at offensive tackle and No. 24 in Georgia. The industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking has him at No. 215 nationally, No. 16 at offensive tackle and No. 23 in Georgia. Additionally, he is No. 206 around the country via ESPN.

Per a recent article from 247Sports, various Syracuse football coaches, including head coach Fran Brown, are in consistent communication with Aliu. "I'm really interested in Syracuse," Aliu told 247Sports. "They stand very well within my recruitment."

Among the other Orange 2027 recruits who plan to officially visit the team from May 29 to May 31 is three-star tight end Michael Nnabuife of the powerhouse Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore. Last November, the 6-foot-5, 242-pound Nnabuife named a top six of Syracuse football, Alabama, N.C. State, Maryland, Florida and Michigan State.
