Syracuse football 2027 priority recruit Nick Lennear, a five-star athlete/wide receiver from the Sunshine State, has been named an All-American for the recently completed 2025 season, according to MaxPreps.
The 6-foot, 165-pound Lennear, who recently switched up Miami high schools for next year, has included the Orange in his top five, along with some heavyweight programs from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference.
Not too long ago, 247Sports national analyst Tom Loy noted on X that Lennear's top five consists of Syracuse football, Miami, Florida State, LSU and Texas A&M. The Hurricanes, a hometown team, have analyst buzz for Lennear on Rivals and will prove tough to beat.

Still, the Orange staff is talking with Lennear about getting him to the SU campus for a visit, a source tells me. I'm hopeful that he will take an official visit to Syracuse football at some point sooner rather than later. Within the 2027 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Lennear at No. 17 overall, No. 4 at wide receiver and No. 3 in Florida.
Syracuse football is recruiting 5-star WR Nick Lennear hard.
Lennear was stellar in the 2025 season, as both a wide receiver and a defensive back, in helping lead Miami Northwestern Senior High School to the championship game of the Florida High School Athletic Association ("FHSAA") Class 3A state playoffs. Miami Northwestern went 13-1 overall in 2025.
Miami Northwestern's 2025 roster also included two Orange 2026 signees in five-star wide receiver Calvin Russell III and four-star defensive back Tedarius Hughes.
Word broke in late December that Lennear would, for his senior season, transfer from Miami Northwestern to nearby Miami Carol City Senior High School. This move shouldn't negatively impact the Orange's recruitment of Lennear, given how entrenched head coach Fran Brown and general manager Tommy Caporale are in recruiting high school football prospects from Florida programs.
On January 7, MaxPreps disclosed its junior All-America teams for the 2025 campaign. Lennear was named to the All-America second team as an all-purpose player.

Lennear's full scholarship offer sheet includes schools such as Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, LSU, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Texas, Southern California, West Virginia, SMU and Florida International.
On Saturday, he is set to compete in the 2026 Navy All-American Bowl, a prestigious annual event that will take place beginning at 1:00 pm EST in San Antonio and air on NBC and Peacock.
