Khalil Taylor, a top-flight wide receiver/athlete in the 2027 class from Pennsylvania, named a top six on Friday that includes Syracuse football, a program that is recruiting him hard these days.
Per Rivals, Taylor's half-dozen finalists include the Orange, Ohio State, Georgia, Nebraska, Penn State and Colorado. The 6-foot, 180-pound Taylor, an All-American as a junior, has said that he plans to officially visit Syracuse football from June 19 to June 21.

I've been told that Taylor, a top-70 national prospect in the 2027 cycle, is eyeing a possible visit to the Hill during the program's spring practices, too. This past January, 'Cuse defensive assistant coach Dre Kates visited Taylor, who secured a scholarship offer from SU on May 30, 2024.
Taylor is a standout at Pine-Richland High School in Gibsonia, Pa., near Pittsburgh.
Syracuse football has scored the top 6 of 2027 4-star WR Khalil Taylor.
In Taylor's junior season, Pine-Richland went 11-2 overall and reached the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League ("WPIAL") Class 5A championship game. Rivals named Taylor to its All-America first team as a return specialist, and he picked up Class 5A All-State and Class 5A player of the year honors in Pennsylvania.
Taylor's versatility is pretty incredible. In 2025, he had 571 receiving yards and 70 rushing yards. Taylor had five punts for 200 yards, seven kick-off returns for 362 yards, and 21 punt returns for 408 yards. He registered a whopping 24 total touchdowns. Then, on defense, Taylor collected 14 solo tackles, 22 total tackles, three tackles for a loss, one sack, three interceptions and four pass breakups.
Last fall, Taylor de-committed from Penn State and reopened his recruitment, although the Nittany Lions and new head coach Matt Campbell are in the mix for Taylor, having also made his top six.
Besides Taylor, 2027 four-star athlete Tristin Hughes of Rocky River High School in Rocky River, Ohio, is also expected to take an official visit to the 'Cuse from June 19 to June 21. On February 19, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Hughes reopened his recruiting process after having verbally pledged to Syracuse football in September of 2025.
