Khalil Taylor, an elite four-star wide receiver in the 2027 class from the Pittsburgh area, has scheduled an official visit to Syracuse football for June 19 to June 21, he said via his X page on Thursday morning.
Heck yeah.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Taylor, an All-American as a junior, has also locked in official visits to Colorado, Georgia and Penn State, according to his X account.

Taylor, a top-65 national prospect in the 2027 cycle per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, was eyeing a junior-day visit to the Hill on January 31 but didn't end up making it. However, a source told me on Thursday that the Orange staff and Taylor are working on setting up a date for him to visit the program during its upcoming spring practices.
The 'Cuse is clearly prioritizing Taylor in this class. Late last month, per a source, Syracuse football defensive assistant coach Dre Kates visited Taylor, who is a standout at Pine-Richland High School in Gibsonia, Pa. SU coaches offered him a scholarship on May 30, 2024.
Syracuse football is recruiting 2027 wide receiver Khalil Taylor hard.
Taylor, in the 2025 season for Pine-Richland, was stellar on offense, defense and special teams. According to his bio on the MaxPreps Web site, Taylor hauled 33 passes for 571 yards with 16 touchdowns. He rushed seven times for 70 yards. On defense, Taylor registered 14 solo tackles, 22 total tackles, three tackles for a loss, one sack, three interceptions and four pass breakups.
What's more, on special teams, he had five punts for 200 yards, seven kick-off returns for 362 yards, and 21 punt returns for 408 yards. In addition to his 16 receiving touchdowns, Taylor tallied two interceptions returned for touchdowns, three punt-return touchdowns and three kick-off return touchdowns.
Pine-Richland went 11-2 overall in the 2025 campaign, advancing to the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League ("WPIAL") Class 5A championship game. As a junior, Taylor scored first-team All-America honors as a return specialist from Rivals. He was also named Class 5A All-State and the Class 5A player of the year in Pennsylvania.
Within the 2027 class, both the 247Sports Composite and the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking place Taylor in the top 75 nationally, the top 15 at wide receiver and the top five in Pennsylvania.
Taylor had been verbally pledged to Penn State but de-committed last fall while reopening his recruitment. Former Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin now leads Virginia Tech, and former Iowa State boss Matt Campbell has taken the reins at Penn State. The Nittany Lions appear to be a significant contender for Taylor, along with the Orange and others.
Currently, the 'Cuse has eight verbal pledges in its 2027 class, a cycle that is No. 7 around the country, per the 247Sports Composite.
