Syracuse football priority recruit Gavin Sidwar from Pennsylvania, a four-star, top-20 quarterback in the 2026 class, has scheduled another visit to the Orange.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Sidwar, who has visited the 'Cuse on several occasions in the past, has locked in an upcoming trip to the Orange on March 26, according to multiple media reports.

As far as I can tell, Sidwar is high on Syracuse football and its staff, led by ace recruiter and head coach Fran Brown. Some recent comments from national analysts seem to indicate that the 'Cuse is one of the favorites in Sidwar's recruiting process, at least for the time being.

Not too long ago, Sidwar dropped a top five of Syracuse football, along with Ole Miss and Missouri out of the Southeastern Conference, and two Big Ten Conference schools in UCLA and Iowa.
Sidwar, who had an excellent junior season during the 2024 campaign for La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pa., picked up a scholarship offer from the Orange in January of 2024.

Beyond his prior trips to Central New York, in late January of this year during a contact recruiting period, Sidwar conducted an in-home visit with Nunzio Campanile, who is Syracuse football's associate head coach for offense and the team's quarterbacks coach.

Currently, Sidwar's highest 2026 rankings come from On3, which has him at No. 266 overall, No. 20 at quarterback and No. 6 in Pennsylvania.
Syracuse football is actively recruiting multiple four-star quarterbacks in the 2026 cycle.
At this juncture, the Orange has secured at least nine verbal pledges among high school juniors, with this 2026 class residing at No. 13 around the country, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
The 'Cuse staff is still looking for its first 2026 verbal commitment at quarterback. To that end, besides Sidwar, it appears that Syracuse football coaches are pursuing a handful of additional signal-callers in this cycle.
Four-star Brodie McWhorter has the 'Cuse in his top seven and plans to visit the program twice in the coming months, according to reports. He attends Cass High School in White, Ga.

Other 2026 quarterbacks to monitor, as it relates to Syracuse football recruiting efforts, include four-star Derek Zammit of DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, N.J., four-star Luke Fahey of Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, Calif., and three-star quarterback/athlete Brogan McNab of Melbourne Central Catholic in Melbourne, Fla.
