Brodie McWhorter, a four-star quarterback in the 2026 class who hails from Georgia, is down to seven schools in his recruitment, and Syracuse football is on the list.
Not too long ago, per various posts on X, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound McWhorter named a top seven of the 'Cuse, Auburn, Indiana, Colorado, Mississippi State, Wisconsin and West Virginia. He had previously given a verbal commitment to West Virginia, but McWhorter reopened his recruitment in early December of 2024, while keeping the Mountaineers in the mix.

In the spring, McWhorter will visit the Orange from April 15 to April 16. He then plans to officially visit Syracuse football from May 30 to June 1. It's awesome that Brodie is making two upcoming trips to the Hill!
Syracuse football is a contender for 2026 4-star QB Brodie McWhorter.
According to his X page, in late January of this year amid a contact recruiting period, McWhorter received an in-home visit from Nunzio Campanile, the Orange's associate head coach for offense and the team's quarterbacks coach.

Within the 2026 class, Rivals.com currently ranks McWhorter as four stars, No. 166 overall, No. 14 at quarterback and No. 26 in Georgia. At the time of this writing, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite had him as three stars, No. 432 nationwide, No. 26 at quarterback and No. 48 in Georgia.
To date, the Orange staff has secured at least nine verbal pledges among high school juniors in a class that ranks in the top 20 around the country, although 'Cuse coaches remain on the lookout for their first commitment from a signal-caller.

Besides McWhorter, as far as I can tell, Syracuse football is in pursuit of a few other 2026 quarterbacks, such as four-star Gavin Sidwar of La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pa., who has the Orange in his top five, and four-star Luke Fahey of Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, Calif., who is reportedly eyeing a spring visit to Syracuse football.
