One of the top defensive backs in the 2026 class has scheduled an official visit to Syracuse football, according to his X page.
Four-star Jaydin Broadnax, who won a state title this past season with his high school program in Florida, says he's locked in an official visit to the Hill from June 6 to June 8.
In mid-January of this year, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Broadnax disclosed a top seven of the Orange, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan, Auburn, Florida and USF.

Broadnax, who picked up a scholarship offer from 'Cuse head coach Fran Brown and his top-flight staff in mid-February of 2024, took an unofficial visit to Syracuse football last April, saying at that time he was excited to make a return trip to Central New York.
Syracuse football is prioritizing 4-star DB Jaydin Broadnax in the 2026 class.
In the 2024 campaign, Broadnax scored various honors in helping guide West Boca Raton Community High School in Boca Raton, Fla., to the Florida High School Athletic Association ("FHSAA") Class 6A state championship.
According to some recent comments from national recruiting analysts, the Orange is among a small group of suitors recruiting Broadnax the hardest. To that end, when I wrote this article, fellow Atlantic Coast Conference member Louisville had received several analyst predictions in Broadnax's recruitment between the 247Sports Web site, Rivals.com and the On3 Web site.

Currently, within the 2026 cycle, ESPN ranks Broadnax in the top 200 overall and the top 20 at cornerback. Rivals.com has him in the top 250 nationally and the top 20 at safety.
Both the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking place Broadnax in the top 350 around the country, the top 25 at cornerback/safety and within the top 50 in talent-rich Florida.
Brown and his assistants continue to recruit the Sunshine State hard. The Orange signed numerous Florida-based prospects in its large 2025 class at the prep level. By extension, several high school players from Florida in the 2026 and the 2027 cycles have verbally committed to the 'Cuse at this juncture.
Syracuse football is also heavily in the mix for various four-star recruiting targets who hail from the Sunshine State, including 2025 defensive back J'Vari Flowers of Miami Northwestern Senior High School, 2026 wide receiver Calvin Russell, also of Miami Northwestern, and 2026 defensive lineman James Johnson of North Fort Myers High School in North Fort Myers, Fla.
