DJ Davis, a talented 2027 three-star athlete and state champion from Delaware, has already visited Syracuse football once this year. And he's got two more trips to Central New York on the books.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Davis, who holds 18 college scholarship offers, including one from the Orange, says via his X page that he will make a trip to the 'Cuse amid its spring practices on March 30.

Additionally, the award-winning defensive back and wide receiver will go on an official visit to the Syracuse football program from June 12 to June 14. I outlined other official visits set by 2027 targets to the Orange in a separate piece on Monday.

Last month, Syracuse football held several junior days at the JMA Wireless Dome as Syracuse basketball played home games. Davis was in attendance for the Orange junior day on Saturday, Jan. 24.

Syracuse football is recruiting 2027 three-star athlete DJ Davis hard.

Davis's first scholarship offer came from the 'Cuse, back on March 17, 2024. His offer sheet also includes schools such as Boston College, Duke, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Penn State, Temple, Kentucky, Maryland, UConn and Virginia Tech, among others.

Davis is a standout at Middletown High School in Middletown, Del. In the 2025 season, the Cavaliers went 10-3 overall and captured their second straight Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association ("DIAA") 3A state championship.

As a junior, per his X page, Davis was an All-Conference performer as a defensive back and a wide receiver. He was also named All-State as a defensive back. One of Davis' Middletown teammates this past season was three-star wide receiver BJ Garrett, who is a member of the Orange's record-setting 2026 class.

Within the 2027 class, Davis is No. 444 overall, No. 30 at athlete and No. 2 in Delaware, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, Davis is No. 504 nationally, No. 69 at wide receiver and No. 2 in Delaware.

Currently, the Syracuse football staff has secured at least eight verbal commitments in a 2027 cycle that is No. 6 around the country, per the 247Sports Composite.
