Rivals.com recently published its updated national rankings of the top-150 prospects in the 2022 class, and several Syracuse basketball targets absolutely exploded, in a good way, within these new ratings.

Let’s have a look. The biggest leap was made by four-star power forward Kyle Filipowski, from the Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, Mass. He jumped 69 spots to No. 48 overall.

Another huge gain was made by four-star point guard J.J. Starling, with the La Lumiere School in La Porte, Ind. Starling climbed 58 placements to No. 46 nationally.

Four-star Kamari Lands, a talented wing who gave his verbal commitment to the Orange this past April, improved 32 spots to No. 30. He attends Prolific Prep in Napa Valley, Calif.

Quadir Copeland, a four-star point guard, entered the national rankings at No. 85. He is transferring from the Life Center Academy in Burlington, N.J., to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Four-star wing Justin Taylor, out of the St. Anne’s-Belfield School in Charlottesville, Va., made a nice improvement, advancing 15 placements to No. 54.

See where other Syracuse basketball prospects arrived in new 2022 rankings.

Former ‘Cuse commit Dior Johnson, a five-star point guard who plays for Corona Centennial High School in Corona, Calif., fell three spots to No. 7 overall.

Five-star forward Jarace Walker, out of the IMG Academy, improved by two positions to No. 9 nationally. Five-star combo guard Zion Cruz, with The Patrick School in Hillside, N.J., dropped three placements to No. 19.

Chance Westry, a four-star combo guard most recently with the Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, Calif., had a solid boost, heading up eight spots to No. 24 overall.

Four-star center Donovan Clingan, who has the Orange in his top eight, moved up three placements to No. 44. He suits up for Bristol Central High School in Bristol, Conn.

Yann Farrell, a four-star small forward with the Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., improved by three positions to No. 86 nationally in this cycle.

Finally, three-star wing Chris Bunch from De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif., is up one spot to No. 125. Bunch, who plans to take an official visit to the Hill at the end of June, is expected to see his national rankings continue to rise, as we noted in this recent column.

Next. Syracuse Basketball: Jim Boeheim could coach until 80, and that works. dark
