All in all, it was a nice little Saturday for Syracuse football at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wis.

Four former Orange standouts were chosen on day three of this year's NFL Draft. Then, per SU Athletics, six additional 'Cuse stars signed on with NFL teams as free agents.

If my math is correct, and that's never a given, 10 former Syracuse football players headed to the NFL on Saturday, and that's freaking awesome. Let's break it all down.

Where Syracuse football players are going in the NFL.

By the way, per cuse.com, the team's four NFL Draft selections in 2025 were the most for the program dating back to 2006.

Oronde Gadsden II, tight end
Los Angeles Chargers
Fifth round, No. 165 overall
I discussed why I think Los Angeles is a strong fit for the All-American in this column.

Kyle McCord, quarterback
Philadelphia Eagles
Sixth round, No. 181 overall
McCord, as I noted here, is coming back home. Not sure how much playing time he'll get with the Super Bowl champions, but it's still a wonderful thing for Kyle.

LeQuint Allen Jr., running back
Jacksonville Jaguars
Seventh round, No. 236 overall
Super pumped for LeQuint, whose dynamic skillset of running the ball and catching passes should get him on the field, I hope.

Fadil Diggs, defensive end
New Orleans Saints
Seventh round, No. 254 overall
Diggs made the most of his one year on the Hill after transferring to Syracuse football from Texas A&M. Now he'll get a shot to play at the pro level.

Following the 2025 NFL Draft, according to SU Athletics, six former 'Cuse players signed on with pro teams as undrafted free agents. They are:
•Defensive back Clarence Lewis, Tennessee Titans (love this - Nashville is my second home!)
•Linebacker Justin Barron, Dallas Cowboys
•Defensive back Alijah Clark, Dallas Cowboys (fun - two Orange guys with "America's team")
•Wide receiver Jackson Meeks, Detroit Lions (the Georgia transfer was fabulous in 2024, and so was Detroit)
•Offensive lineman Savion Washington, Los Angeles Chargers
•Linebacker Marlowe Wax Jr., Los Angeles Chargers (Wax, Washington and Gadsden all in L.A. is cool)

We'll have to see how many of these former Syracuse football standouts make their respective teams' final rosters and actually get sizable playing time. I'm rooting for all of them, and Saturday was special for the Orange program under head coach Fran Brown.
