Kamron Wilson, a 2026 four-star edge from Florida who is verbally committed to Syracuse football, might be on flip watch.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Wilson, this past weekend, was on an official visit to Big Ten Conference member Nebraska. By all accounts, his trip to the Cornhuskers went quite well, and Nebraska has some analyst buzz for him via the On3 Web site.
One of the top recruiting experts out there, On3 Vice President Steve Wiltfong, is among several folks who have logged predictions for Wilson to ultimately flip from the 'Cuse to the Cornhuskers. That's a bummer for sure.

When I wrote this article on Monday, I didn't see any projections in Nebraska's direction for Wilson on the 247Sports Web site or Rivals.com.
Syracuse football could end up losing a 4-star edge pledge.
Wilson is a standout rising senior at Miami Southridge Senior High School. The Orange staff, across its 2025, 2026 and 2027 cycles, has heavily recruited the Sunshine State, and with great success so far.
In late March of this year, Wilson verbally committed to Syracuse football and its head coach, ace recruiter Fran Brown. To date, 'Cuse coaches have secured at least 15 verbal commits among rising high school seniors, and the team's 2026 class is in the top 20 nationally, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
Per various analysts, Nebraska has momentum with Wilson, but let's see if he still ends up taking an official visit to Syracuse football this coming weekend. If he cancels that trip, it's not a good sign for the Orange.
According to 247Sports, following his trip to Central New York, Wilson will then officially visit USF and Florida State.
At the time of this writing, within the 2026 cycle, both the 247Sports Composite and the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking had him in the top 450 overall. Currently, Wilson's highest 2026 national ranking comes courtesy of ESPN, which has him at No. 271 across the country.
Wilson is one of several Syracuse football 2026 verbal pledges who are ranked four stars by at least one recruiting service. Others include wide receiver Amare Gough of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, Va., edge Jarius Rodgers of Fleming Island High School in Fleming Island, Fla., and offensive tackle Javeion Cooper of Melbourne Central Catholic in Melbourne, Fla.
