Following a wonderful 2025-26 regular season that culminated with a thrashing of Boston College this past Sunday on senior day, Syracuse women's basketball is on its way to the ACC Tournament, which will take place from March 4 to March 8 at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Ga., near Atlanta.
The Orange (22-7 overall, 12-6 in ACC), led by head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, is the No. 7 seed in the league's post-season tournament. The 'Cuse will play either No. 10 seed California or No. 15 seed Wake Forest this Thursday, March 5, beginning at 5:00 pm EST, with television coverage on the ACC Network.

The Golden Bears and the Demon Deacons will go toe to toe on Wednesday, March 4, with the tip-off scheduled for 1:30 pm EST and television coverage on the ACC Network. In the 2025-26 regular season, the Orange defeated both Cal and Wake Forest.

Syracuse women's basketball should be safely in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
The latest March Madness bracketology projections for the 'Cuse, ahead of the ACC Tournament, include the following:
CBS Sports: No. 9 seed
ESPN: No. 9 seed
Her Hoop Stats: No. 9 seed
USA Today: No. 11 seed
At the time of this writing, Syracuse women's basketball had an NCAA NET ranking of No. 40, which is solid, but not spectacular. SU is a combined 6-7 in quadrant-one/quadrant-two games and a combined 16-0 in quadrant-three/quadrant-four contests.
Even if the 'Cuse loses its first ACC Tournament game, it should hear its name called on Selection Sunday. Just to be safe, though, it would behoove Syracuse women's basketball to win at least one encounter in the ACC tourney.

Leading the charge for SU is freshman center Uche Izoje, a leading contender for Atlantic Coast Conference rookie of the year this season. She leads the Orange in scoring and averages 15.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.5 assists per game while connecting on 55.3 percent from the field.
On Monday, Izoje was named the ACC rookie of the week for the eighth occasion in the current campaign. As the Orange went 1-1 last week, she averaged 18.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. In 2025-26, Izoje has an impressive 13 double-doubles.
