Syracuse women's basketball will welcome a nearby Central New York neighbor to the Hill in November as part of the Orange's non-conference schedule in the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
Per SU Athletics, the 'Cuse will host Ivy League member Cornell on Sunday, Nov. 8. The tipoff information and broadcast details will be revealed at a later date, according to Syracuse Athletics.
The last time that Syracuse women's basketball and the Big Red faced off was in December 2023, when the Orange defeated Cornell at the JMA Wireless Dome by a final score of 78-71. In their all-time series together, SU is 18-3 against the Big Red, and Syracuse women's basketball has won nine consecutive games in the series.

In the 2025-26 season, the Orange went 24-9 overall and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Cornell, meanwhile, went 9-18 overall.
Here is what we know so far about Syracuse women's basketball's docket in 2026-27:
•Syracuse women's basketball against UConn at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., on Monday, Oct. 12 (exhibition)
•Syracuse women's basketball against Sacred Heart at the Dome on Tuesday, Nov. 3
•Syracuse women's basketball against Cornell at the Dome on Sunday, Nov. 8
•Syracuse women's basketball against Canisius at the Dome on Sunday, Nov. 15
•Syracuse women's basketball against Oklahoma at the Dome on Thursday, Dec. 3 (ACC/SEC Challenge)
•Syracuse women's basketball at Le Moyne on Wednesday, Dec. 16
Syracuse women's basketball is also suiting up in a preseason non-conference event.
According to the SU Athletics Web site, the Orange appears to be competing in this season's Discover Puerto Rico Shootout, which runs from November 25 to November 27 in San Juan. On cuse.com, Syracuse's three opponents at the 2026 Discover Puerto Rico Shootout are not yet listed.
The teams for this year's event also aren't noted on the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout's Web site. Last season's event included Central Florida, East Carolina, Illinois State, Kentucky, Maryland, Morgan State, Rice and Wake Forest.
On Sunday, a representative for the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout confirmed that Syracuse women's basketball would be in this season's field, noting that all the teams participating will likely be announced soon.
A spokesperson for the Orange program couldn't be immediately reached for comment this weekend. If I get further information from the 'Cuse, I'll of course update this story.
