Syracuse women's basketball has completed its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign, as the Orange seeks to make the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season and for the third time in four years.
SU Athletics recently announced that the 'Cuse will host Patriot League member Bucknell on Friday, Dec. 18, at the JMA Wireless Dome. This non-conference contest, set to tip off at 10:00 am EST, will be the Orange's annual School Day Game, where thousands of local students head to the Dome for a morning of college basketball. Per Syracuse Athletics, admission to this game is free.
A Syracuse women's basketball spokesperson tells Inside the Loud House that the Bucknell matchup is the final non-conference game for the 'Cuse in the 2026-27 season. Led by head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, Syracuse went 24-9 overall last season, while it advanced to the Big Dance's second round.
In 2025-26, Bucknell went 11-19 overall. SU and the Bison have met twice in the past. Syracuse women's basketball won both encounters, in November 2018 and then in November 2022, with each game held at the Dome.
