In Syracuse's first ACC matchup of the season, the Orange stormed into Clemson and took what they wanted, literally.
Just one drive into the conference matchup, the Orange was up 7-0 and then head coach Fran Brown did what nobody was expecting.
Syracuse went for an onside kick, just four minutes into the game and up 7-0, and the Orange pulled it off.
After an official review, the call on the field was upheld, and Syracuse had the ball back before anybody could blink, pulling off a textbook onside kick and completely stunning the Clemson Tigers, silencing the crowd at Death Valley.
Suddenly, the Orange was marching down the field again, and commentators were praising Brown and his staff for their tenacity as they took on Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers.

Brown worked with an assertive play-call style, going for it on fourth down and playing aggressively as his team marched down the field. Just over halfway through the first quarter, Syracuse was up 10-0 and Swinney was at a loss for answers.
Led by quarterback Steve Angeli, who worried Orange fans when he hobbled off the field in the first quarter, Syracuse was reaping the benefits of their aggressive play calling.
This was the same Clemson that was a top-25 team heading into the season, with quarterback Cade Klubnik being one of the favorites for the Heisman Trophy. Then, with two losses (to then-No. 9 LSU and unranked Georgia Tech), the Tigers were quite simply falling apart at the seams by the time Week 4 came around.
Just like that, Syracuse was flying toward a 3-1 start to the season, and a 1-0 start to its conference schedule.
