This is the last thing that Syracuse football fans wanted to see going up against Clemson on Saturday. Angeli went down less than two minutes after kickoff after he rushed for a first down. He was down on the turf in a ton of pain and hobbled off the field.

Angeli went back into the tent and he had to miss one play. Thankfully, this wasn't a serious injury, but Angeli is still limping around a little bit. The ESPN broadcast said that he was only in the tent for about a minute, but the hope is that this injury won't give him any issues for the rest of the game.

While he may not take off for any big runs the rest of the way, Angeli is showing that his lower body injury isn't going to impact his ability to throw. Shortly after returning to the field, Angeli tossed a DIME to Justus Ross-Simmons for a 12-yard TD.

In the matter of about one minute, Syracuse fans went from fearing the worst to being overcome with relief. Then, everyone was fired up to see Angeli waste no time in getting the Orange on the board. It's been a nightmare start for Clemson, with Syracuse recovering an onside kick too.

Angeli has been tremendous for the Orange thus far this season, taking over the offense after he transferred in from Notre Dame. Clemson is coming off the stunning loss at Georgia Tech, with Dabo Swinney and Co. in need of a win on Saturday.

Early on, Syracuse is looking downright brilliant and Angeli is showcasing his strong right arm. He may be a bit banged up, but it's proving early on to not be a major issue for him. That's something that Syracuse fans are absolutely loving.
