Here is your latest round-up of Syracuse Orange sports news.
Keep an eye on 2027 four-star quarterback Keegan Croucher from Connecticut as a possible visit candidate to Syracuse football. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Croucher, within his class, is rated by 247Sports as four stars, No. 53 overall, No. 6 at quarterback and No. 1 in Connecticut.
According to recruiting services, his sole scholarship offer to date is from Big Ten Conference member Indiana, but I expect that to change, as various high-major programs are showing an interest in Croucher, including the Orange.
Ryan O'Bleness, a Rivals.com national analyst, writes in a recent article: "Several other programs are in communication with Croucher, however. He made a trip to Boston College last weekend, and plans to be at Michigan's home game versus Northwestern on Nov. 23. He is also planning potential trips to Penn State and Syracuse."
As a freshman in the 2023 season, Croucher played at a high level for Fonda-Fultonville High School in Fonda, N.Y., completing 63 percent of his passes for 2,957 yards and 31 touchdowns, per O'Bleness.
Croucher, for his sophomore year, is suiting up for the Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, Conn.

Syracuse football commit gets a ratings bump
According to 247Sports national scouting analyst Hudson Standish, Orange 2025 verbal pledge Rayshon Andrews has received a rankings bump "to a high three-star 87 rating."
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Andrews, a cornerback/wide receiver, is a senior at the Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Conn. He verbally committed to Syracuse football in mid-June of this year.
Standish writes in part that "Andrews is a lengthy back five defender with positional versatility and a credentialed track and field resume." Within the 2025 cycle, 247Sports places him as the No. 66 cornerback and the No. 8 prospect coming out of Connecticut.
