Per his Instagram page, Syracuse football redshirt junior defensive back Greg Delaine plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens in early January. We're wishing Greg nothing but great success moving forward!

Delaine becomes the 21st player from the Orange's 2025 roster who has announced plans to enter the portal, which will be open from January 2 to January 16. Some 'Cuse fans, understandably, are concerned about the large number of Syracuse football players who plan to depart.

Let me provide some relief: This is happening at college football programs all over the country, amid the transfer portal's explosion, direct revenue-sharing, third-party NIL deals and other factors in a new landscape of college athletics.
