Syracuse football has made the top 10 of 2027 four-star tight end/athlete Colt Lumpris from New Jersey, according to social media posts.

The 6-foot-7, 235-pound Lumpris, who has visited the Hill at least two times, has a top 10 of the Orange, Florida State, Alabama, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio State and Ole Miss.

All I have to say is that even if the 'Cuse doesn't prevail for Colt, it's nice to see Syracuse football continuing to make list cuts for top-flight prospects with impressive scholarship offer lists.

Lumpris is a junior at Lawrence High School in Lawrenceville, N.J. Lawrence's first game in the 2025 season is this Friday night at the Episcopal Academy from Newtown Square, Pa. In 2024-25, Lawrence went 7-2 overall, according to MaxPreps.

Syracuse football, so far, has a top-five class in the 2027 cycle.

According to media reports and social media posts, Lumpris is eyeing game-day visits to numerous college campuses in the coming months. I haven't seen anything yet about a visit this fall to the Orange, but I'll continue to monitor this.

Per his X page, Lumpris visited the 'Cuse in April of 2024, and he was also in attendance at the JMA Wireless Dome last November as Syracuse football stormed back to defeat top-10 Miami in the regular-season finale.

Throughout his recruitment, Lumpris has earned more than 20 high-major offers. Head coach Fran Brown and his staff offered a scholarship to Lumpris in mid-February of 2024.

Within the 2027 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Lumpris at No. 224 overall, No. 10 at athlete and No. 5 in New Jersey, a state that the Orange staff recruits extremely hard. The industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking has him at No. 182 nationally, No. 14 at tight end and No. 3 in New Jersey. ESPN rates Lumpris at No. 167 overall and No. 8 at tight end.

To date, Syracuse football has a quartet of three-star commits in a 2027 cycle that is No. 4 nationwide, per the 247Sports Composite. Orange coaches continue to pursue many highly ranked 2027 prospects, including Lumpris, four-star safety KJ Caldwell and five-star wide receiver Nick Lennear.

On Tuesday, per his X page, 2027 four-star quarterback Hank Hendrix landed a 'Cuse offer. The junior at Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville, Ark., is a top-five quarterback and a top-85 national prospect in the 2027 class, according to Rivals.
