As college football programs across the country look to end spring games, Syracuse football head coach Fran Brown, as shown below, says not so fast. In fact, I am genuinely excited hoping the weather is nice so I can bring my family, including an active 2-year-old, out to enjoy the festivities.
Spring games aren't about winning or losing...they are about the fan experience and players getting a little practice session in and maybe some light-hearted competition. It is that first indication that football is almost back and a chance for fans to see the guys, new and old alike, playing.

And as genuinely excited as I am for the current plan posted above, maybe there could be something even more potentially fun that could happen instead or in conjunction with it, courtesy of Deion Sanders and Colorado.

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA! First off, Deion Sanders and Fran Brown are two great personalities in the world of college football. Both have proven they can win at the schools they coach at and both can handle the press in a way that is a tad different than "coach speak" that many fans often hear.
Second, this sets a fun precedent that spring games can be more fun if you reimagine them and not paranoid of tampering (which in my opinion is going to happen whether you hold a spring game or not if a program wants to do so).
Syracuse football head coach Fran Brown and Deion Sanders are in the news this week.
And they can be a fun yet competitive game with programs looking to get fans more involved and practice with like-minded programs that could mutually benefit both programs. Unfortunately, injuries and tampering could be a risk, but injuries happen already in practices and workouts as it is and you can find ways to minimize them when possible while still competing.

Third and lastly, this helps recruiting for both programs. If you are a recruit considering Syracuse, you now have an opportunity to show your skills against a Colorado team with hall of famers on the staff who if you stand out, they might mention you in the press that surrounds this team and its staff. If you are a Colorado recruit, you know coming in you get to practice against a program that is currently winning instead of another practice against your roommate.
By the way, should such an event happen, I would be willing to say that it is a safe bet that some network would be more than happy to cover it as well, giving you even more exposure to NFL scouts and college football writers early in the season.
So as much as I am excited for the current format with the Syracuse football spring game, if it means Syracuse can play Colorado instead and maybe find another way later to give fans a better experience, PLEASE DO IT.
Love ya my brother! Coach Fran Brown is my Dawg!!!!!! https://t.co/Wn5Kl5yxuG

To Deion Sanders, I say to you sir that I think Fran Brown and Syracuse is the perfect program to do this with. Your records were similar last season and Coach Brown is a guy who respects you, your program and only wants to better his program and grow it in ways not done previously.
