Syracuse football coaches are stacking up visits by recruits for upcoming home games
By Neil Adler
Syracuse football concludes its month-long road tour in October when the Orange travels to No. 19 Pittsburgh on Thursday night.
Then, in November, the 'Cuse will have three games at the JMA Wireless Dome. During that trio of contests, the Orange staff, led by first-year head coach Fran Brown, is expected to welcome high school prospects from various recruiting classes on visits to the Hill.
I noted in another column earlier this week that Javion Hilson, a 2025 five-star edge, will take an official visit to the 'Cuse on November 2, when Syracuse football hosts fellow Atlantic Coast Conference member Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound Hilson, who attends Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Fla., is a top-20 national prospect in the senior cycle, per Rivals.com.
Kaylib Singleton, a 2025 three-star defensive back who recently de-committed from Big Ten Conference school Rutgers, will officially visit the Orange during the weekend of November 23, when the 'Cuse plays non-conference foe UConn at home, according to Rivals.com national analyst John Garcia Jr. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Singleton is a senior at Oakleaf High School in Orange Park, Fla.
Here are some other Syracuse football targets who will soon visit Central New York.
Maurice Medley
Medley is a 2026 three-star linebacker out of the Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore. He says via his X page that he will visit the Orange on November 2 for the team's game against Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Medley, offered a scholarship by the former 'Cuse staff in October of 2022, is a top-50 linebacker per On3 and ranked No. 474 nationally by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
Osi Yearwood
The 2027 running back plans to visit Syracuse football on November 23 for the Orange's affair versus the Huskies, per a post on X from The Juice on Rivals. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Yearwood, who attends the Salisbury School in Salisbury, Conn., was offered by the 'Cuse in early August of this year.
Marcus Ferrer
Also according to The Juice on Rivals, this 2026 offensive tackle plans to visit Syracuse football on November 30 for the Orange's regular-season finale against Miami. The 6-foot-7, 305-pound Ferrer, out of Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Fla., picked up a 'Cuse scholarship offer in May of 2024.
Gavin White
The 2027 athlete will visit Syracuse football for the Virginia Tech encounter on November 2, according to recruiting analyst Charles Kang of The Juice on Rivals. The 6-foot-3, 155-pound White suits up for the University Preparatory Charter School in Rochester, N.Y. White says on his X page that he plays wide receiver, quarterback and free safety. Per his bio on Rivals.com, White is garnering interest at this juncture from the Orange coaching staff.
