After three road games and a bye week, Syracuse football finally returns to Central New York for a contest. The Orange will host fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school Louisville on Saturday night at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse football (2-3 overall, 0-3 in ACC) last played on the Hill this past September 12, when the 'Cuse fell to California, 21-18. The Orange followed that up with road losses to Pittsburgh and, most recently, Virginia, along with a one-point overtime triumph at UConn sandwiched in between.
Head coach Fran Brown and his program are still searching for their first conference conquest in the 2026 campaign. In fact, the 'Cuse hasn't won an ACC contest since September 2025, when the team beat Clemson on the road.
The Cardinals (3-3 overall, 2-2 in ACC), meanwhile, had lost two straight before handling Florida State at home last weekend, 44-20.
How to watch Louisville at Syracuse football.
The Orange and the Cardinals are scheduled to kick off at 7:30 pm EST on October 17. The ACC Network will air this conference clash. At the time of this writing, FanDuel had Louisville as a 14.5-point betting favorite over the 'Cuse, with the over/under set at 55.5 points.

Who will start at quarterback for Syracuse football on Saturday evening remains unclear. The Orange's injury report submitted to the ACC on Wednesday night noted that senior Amari Odom is out, while fifth-year player Steve Angeli and senior Malachi Nelson are both listed as questionable.
It's entirely possible that fifth-year player Danny Lauter could start at quarterback for the 'Cuse against the Cardinals. Whoever starts will likely have to lead Syracuse football to a lot of points scored, as Louisville is second in the ACC in points per game on offense, at 39.5.
By extension, the Orange's defense will be thoroughly tested by a Cardinals ground attack that is No. 1 in the ACC with 231.7 rushing yards per game. Yikes. Syracuse football allows 144.4 rushing yards per contest, which is No. 8 in the league.
Former Big East Conference foes and now adversaries in the ACC, Saturday will mark the 22nd meeting between the two squads. In their all-time series, Louisville leads the 'Cuse, 13-8.
