Syracuse football coaches are set to host a variety of college transfers on visits, according to social media posts and reports.
Per the NCAA, the transfer portal opened for business in college football on December 9 and will run through December 28.
The Orange (9-3 overall), ranked No. 21 in the latest College Football Playoff top 25, is preparing to battle Pac-12 Conference member Washington State (8-4 overall) at the Holiday Bowl on December 27 in San Diego.

As 'Cuse first-year head coach Fran Brown, his top-flight staff and their 2024 roster get ready to suit up in the post-season for the third straight year, the Syracuse football staff is also focused on recruiting efforts via the transfer portal.
Here are some college transfers who plan to visit Syracuse football.
National reporter Matt Zenitz of 247Sports and CBS Sports says on his X page that Penn sophomore running back Malachi Hosley plans to visit the 'Cuse. In 247Sports transfer ratings, Hosley is three stars, No. 60 overall and No. 5 at running back.

LSU redshirt freshman quarterback Rickie Collins was to visit Syracuse football on Tuesday, Dec. 10, according to an article from 247Sports analyst Mike McAllister. Per 247Sports' transfer rankings, Collins checks in as three stars, No. 92 overall and No. 13 at quarterback.
Liberty junior quarterback Kaidon Salter is eyeing a visit to the Orange this week, as reported by On3 college sports business and transfer portal reporter Pete Nakos. In transfer ratings from the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking, Salter is four stars, No. 38 nationally and No. 6 at quarterback.

Central Connecticut junior offensive tackle Rahtrel Perry plans to visit Syracuse football this coming weekend, per a post on X from Steve Wiltfong, who is On3's vice president of national college football recruiting and the transfer portal.

Chris Hummer, a national writer with 247Sports and CBS Sports, says in a post on X that Cal Poly redshirt freshman offensive tackle Brady Norton has set a visit to the Orange. A post via X from Rivals.com notes that Norton plans to make his trip to Central New York on December 18.

On3 national recruiting expert Hayes Fawcett says on his X page that Florida International redshirt junior wide receiver Eric Rivers has heard from a ton of schools, including the 'Cuse, since entering the portal. According to 247Sports' transfer rankings, Rivers is four stars, No. 23 nationwide and No. 10 at wide receiver.
