This spring and summer are going to prove quite a busy time for Syracuse football coaches, as they welcome numerous commits and recruiting targets to the Hill on official or unofficial visits.
I've noted some of these planned trips to Central New York in various columns that you can check out here, but let's review a few more developments.
For one, 2026 three-star athlete/linebacker Maurice Medley of the powerhouse Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore said via his X page that he will officially visit the Orange during the weekend that begins on May 30.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Medley, who was named to the MaxPreps' freshman All-America second team on defense during the 2022 campaign, gave a verbal pledge to the 'Cuse in early December of last year.

Other Syracuse football commits will visit Central New York, too.
Per 247Sports, during the weekend that starts on June 13, 2026 four-star offensive tackle and top-175 national prospect Javeion Cooper out of Melbourne Central Catholic in Melbourne, Fla., plans to officially visit the Orange.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Cooper also verbally committed to Syracuse football last December. Per this recent article on the On3 Web site, Southeastern Conference member Florida is working hard to try and flip Cooper from the 'Cuse to the Gators.
In late January of this year, 2026 four-star edge and top-175 national prospect Jarius Rodgers of Fleming Island High School in Fleming Island, Fla., went on an unofficial visit to the Hill, according to media reports. Last month, he also verbally pledged to the Orange.
In a story this week from Rivals.com national analyst John Garcia Jr., he wrote about Rodgers, "The Syracuse commit feels great about the program he picked back in January. The Orange is likely to get Rodgers back on campus for an official visit, but the ACC program won't be the sole destination for the pass rusher. ... Florida State and South Florida are likely later in the offseason, while South Carolina is working on an unofficial visit date with the North Florida native."
Earlier this month, I noted that Syracuse football 2026 verbal pledge Jaxson Gates, a three-star cornerback with Damien High School in La Verne, Calif., will take official visits to both the 'Cuse and Big Ten Conference member Michigan State in June, according to recruiting services.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Gates verbally committed to Orange head coach Fran Brown and his top-flight staff in late November of 2024.
To date, Syracuse football coaches have secured at least nine verbal pledges among high school juniors, and the team's 2026 cycle is in the top 20 nationally, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and Rivals.com.
