In the coming weeks, numerous Syracuse football priority targets in the 2026 class are expected to make their commitment announcements, according to recruiting services and posts on X.
The Orange, led by ace recruiter and head coach Fran Brown, already has 16 verbal pledges in a 2026 cycle that checks in at No. 13 around the country at the time of this writing, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
The 'Cuse coaching staff is off to a fast, encouraging start in this class, and more commitments could potentially be on the way. Amid these upcoming college decisions from three-star, four-star and five-star targets, the Orange is also hosting a flood of top-flight prospects on official visits over the next few weeks.
Top 247Sports analyst Mike McAllister noted many of these scheduled official visits in this piece. Have a look.
Let's review which Syracuse football recruits are announcing soon.
Messiah Hampton
Four-star wide receiver
James Monroe High School in Rochester, N.Y.
The 6-foot-1, 187-pound Hampton has the Orange in his top seven and will take an official visit to Syracuse football on June 5.
Commitment date: June 13
Nyqir Helton
Three-star wide receiver
Winslow Township High School in Atco, N.J.
The 6-foot, 170-pound Helton has the 'Cuse in his top five and plans to officially visit the Hill during the weekend that begins on May 30.
Commitment date: June 27
CJ Hester
Four-star defensive back
Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Fla.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Hester has Syracuse football in his top six and will go on an official visit to the Orange on the weekend that starts June 6. Florida has analyst buzz for him via the On3 Web site.
Commitment date: July 1
Calvin Russell lll
Five-star wide receiver
Miami Northwestern Senior High School
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Russell has Syracuse football among his finalists, and there have been reports stating that he plans to officially visit the 'Cuse. I haven't seen anything out there in the public domain about an official visit to Syracuse football being set.
Commitment date: July 5
Hakim Satterwhite
Four-star defensive back
Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore
The 6-foot-2, 183-pound Satterwhite has the Orange in his top 10 and will take an official visit to Syracuse football during the weekend that begins on May 30.
Commitment date: July 9
Now, I don't anticipate that the Orange will prevail for all these high school players, but even if Syracuse football lands one or two, that would provide a boost to the program's already strong 2026 class.
