Nyqir Helton, a 2026 three-star wide receiver who won a state championship in New Jersey this past season, has scheduled two upcoming official visits to Atlantic Coast Conference schools, and one trip will be made to Syracuse football.
That's according to an article from 247Sports national analyst Brian Dohn. His piece is a subscriber-exclusive, so I will as always respect Brian's work, but Mike McAllister, a top 247Sports analyst who covers Syracuse Orange sports and recruiting, was "tagged" in this piece by Dohn.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Helton, per Rivals.com, holds around 20 offers from a range of high-major programs. He has visited the Hill in the past and was offered by Syracuse football head coach Fran Brown and his top-flight staff in January of 2024.

Syracuse football will host talented wide receiver Nyqir Helton on an official visit.
Helton is a junior at Winslow Township High School in Atco, N.J., and that's the same program where Orange freshman wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby suited up before joining the 'Cuse.

In the 2024 season, Helton said via his X page that he hauled in 47 catches for 857 yards and 13 touchdowns. Winslow Township, by the way, went 14-0 and captured the New Jersey Group 4 title, the program's first-ever state championship in football.

As I've documented on many occasions, Brown and several of his assistants hail from New Jersey, and the Garden State is a heavy recruiting focus for the Orange, while the team also targets the rest of the Northeast corridor and numerous other states around the country.
When I wrote this article, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite placed Helton at No. 658 overall, No. 108 at wide receiver and No. 13 in New Jersey. Over at the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking, he was No. 581 nationally, No. 97 at wide receiver and No. 11 in New Jersey.
To date, the 'Cuse has at least nine verbal commitments among high school juniors, in a 2026 class that hovers around No. 15 nationwide. Two Syracuse football 2026 verbal pledges are from three-star wide receiver BJ Garrett of Middletown High School in Middletown, Del., and three-star wide receiver Phoenix Henriquez of Smyrna High School in Smyrna, Del.
Additionally, over the past week or two, the Orange coaching staff has made list cuts of various highly ranked, four-star targets in the 2026 and 2027 cycles. You can read more about that by clicking here.
