Syracuse football fans are still riding high following this past Saturday's verbal commitment by 2026 five-star wide receiver Calvin Russell lll to the Orange, but several other three-star targets in this cycle are set to announce their college decision soon as well.

They include quarterback Semaj Beals, defensive tackle Amier Clarke and athlete Cameron Hairston-Taylor, who plays defensive back and wide receiver. All three took official visits to the 'Cuse last month, according to recruiting services.

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Clarke, out of Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Fla., has a final four of Syracuse football, Georgia Tech, Boston College and Rutgers. He will announce his college decision on July 10.

Currently, fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school Georgia Tech has buzz for Clarke via 247Sports and On3/Rivals, so we'll see how this one plays out.

Other Syracuse football targets will announce soon, too.

The 6-foot1, 180-pound Hairston-Taylor attends Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, Va. Per top 247Sports analyst Mike McAllister, Hairston-Taylor will make his college decision known on July 11, and he's down to a top five of the Orange, Appalachian State, Louisville, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.

When I wrote this article on Wednesday, On3's recruiting prediction machine had Virginia Tech in the lead for Hairston-Taylor, then followed by South Carolina.

According to his X page, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Beals plans to announce on July 12. I haven't seen any sort of list cut for him, unless I missed one. Beals was fabulous as a junior, breaking the all-time passing yards record in Philadelphia previously held by former Syracuse football signal-caller Kyle McCord.

Beals is a standout at Roman Catholic High School. ESPN ranks him as the No. 21 dual-threat quarterback within the 2026 cycle. The Orange does have a commitment from 2026 three-star quarterback Zaid Lott of the Providence Day School in Charlotte, N.C., so it's not entirely clear to me if the Syracuse football staff would even accept a pledge from Beals at this time.

At this juncture, the 'Cuse has at least 26 commitments in a 2026 class that's No. 22 overall, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, and No. 38 nationally via the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking.

Two other 2026 prospects to monitor include four-star defensive back Tedarius Hughes, who is verbally committed to Florida State, and four-star defensive back Jaydin Broadnax, who is verbally pledged to Louisville.
