Amier Clarke, a three-star defensive lineman in the 2026 class from the Sunshine State, is set to make his college decision soon, and Syracuse football has some buzz in his recruitment.

Late last month, before the current dead period began in college football recruiting, the 6-foot-3, 290-pound Clarke took an official visit to the Orange, and his trip to Central New York went well, he said in a recent post on X.

Clarke recently told recruiting analyst Charles Kang that ahead of his commitment announcement, which is likely to come sometime in July, Syracuse football is in his top four.

Love it.

Syracuse football is heavily in the mix for 2026 3-star DL Amier Clarke.

Clarke is a rising senior at Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Fla., near Orlando. Within their 2026 cycle, Syracuse football coaches have done extremely well recruiting high school prospects from the talent-rich Sunshine State.

In the 2024 season as a junior, according to MaxPreps, Clarke tallied 48 total tackles, 27 solo tackles, 12 tackles for a loss and 11 sacks.

According to his X page and recruiting services, he holds 20 scholarship offers from teams such as Boston College, USF, UCF, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Florida Atlantic and Auburn, among others.

A few days ago, a projection was logged in Syracuse football's direction for Clarke on Rivals.com. He said on May 26, 2025, that he had picked up a scholarship offer from Orange head coach Fran Brown and his top-flight staff.

Within the 2026 cycle, at the time of this writing, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite placed Clarke at No. 1,237 nationally, No. 133 at defensive lineman and No. 142 in Florida. Via the 247Sports recruiting service, he is No. 128 at defensive lineman and No. 136 in the Sunshine State.

At this juncture, the Orange has secured at least 24 verbal pledges in a 2026 class that checks in at No. 29 overall per the 247Sports Composite when I penned this column. The 'Cuse has at least five verbal commits in this cycle who hail from the state of Florida.

Syracuse football definitely appears to be one of the favorites for Clarke, and I'll be on the lookout for when he's planning to make his commitment announcement.
