The top annual showcase in high school hoops, which will transpire this coming January and include games on national TV, is expected to feature two Syracuse basketball commits and several recruiting targets.

Every year, the premier event in high school basketball is the loaded Spalding Hoophall Classic, which will run from January 16 to January 20 of next year at Blake Arena in Springfield, Mass.

A recent press release from the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame provided details on the field and schedule for this season's Spalding Hoophall Classic, with broadcast information to get announced at a later date.

Syracuse basketball recruiting ties to next January's Spalding Hoophall Classic.

At this prestigious showcase, Orange recruiting enthusiasts have a handful of teams that they may want to monitor. Those programs include Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Conn., the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Chantilly, Va., and Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.

A standout at Notre Dame is 2026 four-star wing Abdou Toure, who received a scholarship offer from the 'Cuse in late July. Jordan Smith Jr., a 2026 five-star shooting guard who holds an Orange offer and unofficially visited Syracuse basketball in late September, is an All-American junior at St. Paul VI.

A senior in the 2024-25 campaign at IMG is 2025 five-star forward Sadiq White Jr., who is officially signed with the 'Cuse in his class. Meanwhile, over at Long Island Lutheran, one of the key contributors in his senior season is four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony, who pledged to Syracuse basketball last week and is also officially signed with the Orange in its 2025 cycle.

Various high school hoops experts, at the onset of 2024-25, deem Long Island Lutheran and IMG as top-10 national teams, while St. Paul VI is viewed as a top-25 squad.
