Syracuse basketball first-year head coach Gerry McNamara and his staff have reached out to fast-rising 2028 three-star guard Skye Ragoo from New York City since the contact period for his class opened earlier this month.
On June 15, college coaches could start initiating direct communication with prospects who are headed into their junior year of high school. Since that time, per a post on X from MADE Hoops scouting analyst Trent Watson, the 6-foot-3 Ragoo has heard from schools such as the Orange, Houston, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Boston College, Hofstra and Stanford.

Ragoo is a standout rising junior at the famed Christ the King High School in Middle Village, N.Y. Shooting guard Kiyan Anthony, who is a rising sophomore with the 'Cuse, spent some time, while in high school, at Christ the King before transferring to Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.
According to his Instagram page, Ragoo's early scholarship offer sheet includes teams such as St. John's, which the Orange is expected to battle this coming campaign at Madison Square Garden in New York City, La Salle, Manhattan and Florida A&M. Now that college coaches can call and text Ragoo directly, his offer list should grow soon.
Syracuse basketball is taking a look at 2028 3-star guard Skye Ragoo from NYC.
In the 2025-26 season, Ragoo was excellent for Christ the King. According to an Instagram post, he was named to the New York state Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) "AA" second team. In April of 2025, Ragoo also competed in a USA Basketball junior national team minicamp in San Antonio.
Within the 2028 cycle, the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking places Ragoo at No. 138 overall, No. 37 at shooting guard and No. 4 in New York.
This spring and summer on the AAU circuits, he is playing up a division for the NY Lightning in Nike's EYBL league. Tthrough three sessions, Ragoo is averaging 8.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while connecting on 38.9 percent from the field, 40.0 percent from beyond the arc and 61.5 percent from the free-throw line.
The scouting experts at The Circuit named Ragoo to their All-Underclass team for the EYBL's third session in late May, when he averaged 9.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest.
