Henry Fox, a 6-foot-8, 185-pound guard/wing in the 2027 class who hails from Rochester, N.Y., was in attendance at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday afternoon as Syracuse basketball battled long-time nemesis Georgetown.
That's according to a post on X from Mike Waters of Syracuse.com. Fox is a sophomore at McQuaid Jesuit High School, a prep school located in Rochester. On the AAU circuit, he runs with the Albany, N.Y.-based City Rocks in Nike's EYBL league.
Over the years, numerous high school prospects who played for the City Rocks went on to compete for the Orange program. The 'Cuse, by the way, fell to those pesky Hoyas on Saturday at home, 75-71.
The 2024-25 campaign for McQuaid Jesuit just got underway not too long ago. In the team's season opener, per a post on X, McQuaid Jesuit notched a win, and Fox led the squad with 21 points.
If you want to check out some of his statistics in the early stages of the 2024-25 term at McQuaid Jesuit, you can do so via the MaxPreps Web site.
Henry Fox, a 2027 guard/wing, checked out the Syracuse basketball affair against Georgetown.
According to published reports, in late August of this year, Fox took an unofficial visit to the 'Cuse to participate in the annual Elite Camp put on by Syracuse basketball coaches.
I am not seeing any scholarship offers noted as of yet on Fox's X page, and he's not listed on recruiting Web sites for now, as far as I can tell. That being said, it appears that the Orange staff has an interest in him, given that Fox has now been to the SU campus at least twice in recent months.
Additionally, his recruiting process likely has a way to go, given he's a sophomore in prep school. It's important to note that college coaches can't begin initiating direct communication with 2027 prospects until June 15 of next year.
Fox certainly could see his recruitment heat up once the contact period for his class opens.
To date, I'm aware of at least three sophomores in high school who have received scholarship offers from the 'Cuse. They are five-star forward Baba Oladotun of James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Md., four-star power forward Zion Green of the Imhotep Institute Charter High School in Philadelphia, and five-star big man Paul Osaruyi of CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix.
The Orange offered Oladotun and Green in late June of this year. Osaruyi landed his Syracuse basketball offer in late October of this year.
