Syracuse basketball general manager Alex Kline, who has been extremely active on the recruiting trail for the Orange, was in the house on Friday night as some 'Cuse commits and targets battled at a showcase in New York.

Top recruiting analyst Sam Kayser of League Ready had the scoop about Kline being on hand this past Friday at the Bob McKillop Invitational, with Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y., serving as the host program for this annual event.

In Friday's first affair, CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix took on the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. In the most recent national top 25 from ESPN recruiting director Paul Biancardi, IMG is No. 5, while CIA Bella Vista is No. 8.

Per Legit Sport Stats, CIA Bella Vista upset IMG, 91-82, in double overtime. For CIA Bella Vista, 2026 four-star point guard Miles Sadler tallied an impressive 31 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. He is one of four CIA Bella Vista players who has received a scholarship offer from Syracuse basketball, and Sadler has also expressed an interest in visiting the Hill at some point.

Biancardi, in a post on X, wrote about Sadler that "he made timely plays and big shots. He never gets rattled, possesses great speed, anticipates well on defense, and demonstrates excellent decision-making on offense."

For IMG, four-star forward Sadiq White Jr. collected 13 points, eight rebounds and one steal. White is signed with the Orange in its 2025 class.

Syracuse basketball was in attendance to watch four-star commits and targets.

The second clash on Friday involved No. 6 Long Island Lutheran against No. 24 Oak Hill Academy from Mouth of Wilson, Va. Long Island Lutheran dominated Oak Hill, 76-41, according to Legit Sport Stats.

In the win for the Crusaders, Syracuse basketball 2025 signee Kiyan Anthony, a four-star shooting guard, produced 15 points, two rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals. Dylan Mingo, a 2026 five-star point guard who has received interest from the Orange staff, also chipped in 15 points.

On Saturday, at 6:00 pm, CIA Bella Vista will square off with Oak Hill, and then at 8:00 pm, Long Island Lutheran will collide with IMG, pitting Syracuse basketball 2025 four-star commits against each other. Fun.

As I noted in another piece earlier on Saturday, CIA Bella Vista, IMG and Long Island Lutheran are all in the hunt for potential invites to the eight-team Chipotle Nationals, which will take place from April 3 to April 5 in Fishers, Ind., and ultimately crown a national champion in high school hoops.
