RJ Moore, a four-star shooting guard in the 2027 class from the Charlotte, N.C. area, has landed a scholarship offer from the new Syracuse basketball staff, he recently disclosed via social media.
A huge congrats to RJ! The 6-foot-7, 190-pound Moore has developed a strong relationship with new Orange assistant Ryan Daly, who recently joined head coach Gerry McNamara's staff after serving as an assistant at VCU.

Let's see if Daly and the 'Cuse can get Moore on the Hill at some point for either an official or an unofficial visit. McNamara and his assistants have been focused on roster construction for the upcoming 2026-27 season, although Syracuse basketball is beginning to ramp up its high school recruiting efforts.
Look for the 'Cuse staff to be out and about in mid-May, when the AAU circuits will conduct a live period from May 15 to May 17.
Four-star shooting guard RJ Moore has picked up a Syracuse basketball offer.
Moore is a standout junior at the Ambassador Christian School in Huntersville, N.C., near Charlotte. This spring and summer in grassroots hoops, he is suiting up for the 17U squad of the Charlotte-based Team United in Nike's EYBL league.
Syracuse basketball freshman forward Sadiq White Jr., who is returning to the team for his sophomore stanza under McNamara, played for Team United while in high school. In the current AAU season, Moore's Team United colleagues include 2027 five-star combo guard King Gibson and 2027 five-star power forward CJ Rosser.
Gibson heard from the former Orange coaching staff after the 2027 contact period opened on June 15 of 2025, while Rosser was offered by the former SU staff last summer.

In the 2025-26 campaign for Ambassador Christian, according to MaxPreps, Moore averaged 18.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 41 percent from the field, 32 percent from beyond the arc and 66 percent from the free-throw line.
6'7 2027 RJ Moore is one of the most intriguing propsects coming out of NC in the 2027 class. Versatile forward with smooth mobility, a developing perimeter skill set, and the length to impact both ends as a matchup problem. Keep an eye on him this summer.
