Grassroots hoops are back, Syracuse basketball fans!

The AAU circuits are getting underway, and this weekend, there is a session within Nike EYBL's league in Cartersville, Ga., near Atlanta. Syracuse basketball coaches will be able to check out EYBL prospects in person next month during a live period from May 15 to May 17, when this circuit will be in Memphis, Tenn.

For the time being, it's difficult to know which high school prospects across the 2027, 2028 and 2029 classes might be pursued by head coach Gerry McNamara and his staff, but more clarity should come soon, amid May's live period and other evaluation periods that will arrive over the summer.

For now, let's take a look at some EYBL players in the main 17U division who have played at a high level so far this weekend, and who had previous recruiting ties to the 'Cuse before McNamara was hired last month to replace Adrian Autry as the Orange's head coach.
