On Thursday, Syracuse basketball coaches and their peers nationwide are descending upon various U.S. sites as the AAU circuits conduct sessions amid an NCAA-permitted live period that runs through the weekend.

A source confirms to me that the Orange staff, over the next few days, will be on hand at the four main shoe-sponsored circuits: Nike's EYBL league, the Adidas 3SSB league, the Under Armour Association ("UAA") league and the PUMA-sponsored PRO16 league.

The EYBL is in North Augusta, S.C. The Adidas 3SSB is in Rock Hill, S.C. The UAA is in the Atlanta area. And PRO16 is in Richmond, Va.

Per my source, some of the 2026 targets in the main 17U division who the 'Cuse is likely to watch include five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr., five-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr., four-star wing/small forward Vaughn Karvala, five-star guard/small forward Alex Constanza, four-star shooting guard Dakari Spear and four-star power forward MJ Madison, among others.

Syracuse basketball coaches are out and about during an AAU live period.

Rippey is with the New York-based New Heights in the Adidas 3SSB. On the EYBL circuit, Smith is with the Washington, D.C.-based Team Takeover, Karvala is with the Milwaukee-based Team Herro, Spear is with the Irving, Texas-based Drive Nation, and Madison is with the Albany, N.Y.-based City Rocks.

Constanza, meanwhile, suits up for the Marietta, Ga.-based Team Scoot in the PRO16 league. All of these targets have visited the Orange, except for Spear and Madison. I've been told that Madison is interested in visiting Syracuse basketball at some point.

Other 2026 players to monitor include four-star wing/power forward Quinn Costello of the Boston-based Middlesex Magic (UAA), four-star point guard Ryan Moesch of the Middlesex Magic, four-star guard Lucas Morillo of the City Rocks, five-star point guard Dylan Mingo of the Bronx, N.Y.-based PSA Cardinals (EYBL) and five-star wing Qayden Samuels of Team Takeover.

I don't have confirmation that the Syracuse basketball staff is watching these prospects below, but here are some 2027, 2028 and 2029 players who hold offers from the Orange:
