Syracuse basketball 2026 signee and Central New York native Ryan Moesch has added to his already impressive trophy collection.

The four-star point guard, who has accepted a written offer of athletic aid to play for the Orange, was named the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council ("NEPSAC") Class AA player of the year by the New England Basketball Journal on Wednesday afternoon.

A huge congrats to Ryan on this wonderful, much-deserved honor!

The 6-1, 170-pound Moesch is a top-150 national prospect and a top-15 point guard in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He had been previously committed to Siena, but after then-head coach Gerry McNamara was hired by SU in the same role last month, Moesch was granted a release by the Saints and ultimately pledged to the 'Cuse.

Syracuse basketball 2026 4-star PG commit Ryan Moesch was fabulous this past season.

In the 2025-26 campaign, Moesch averaged 16 points and seven assists per game for the powerhouse Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass. The Penguins went 29-6 overall and 17-0 in New England Basketball League ("NEBL") competition while also winning the NEPSAC Class AA title.

Moesch, named to the All-NEPSAC Class AA team in 2025-26, has spent two campaigns at Cushing. Before that, he was a standout at Chittenango High School in Chittenango, N.Y., which is about 20 minutes from Syracuse.

This past season, Cushing advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 National Prep Championship, which was held in March in West Hartford, Conn. The Penguins were rated No. 5 overall in the 2025-26 national prep rankings via the Web site neprepbasketball.net.

Moesch was also a stud on the AAU circuits last summer. He played at a high level for the 17U team of the Boston-based Middlesex Magic in the Under Armour Association ("UAA") league. During the UAA playoffs, Moesch helped guide the Middlesex Magic to a third-place finish.

McNamara and his staff continue to build out their 2026-27 roster. Currently, Moesch is one of two point guards on the 'Cuse roster, with the other being four-star transfer Garwey Dual, a junior from McNeese State. On Wednesday, Syracuse Athletics announced that Dual had officially joined the Orange.
