In the 1991 NBA Draft, Billy Owens was selected third overall by the Sacramento Kings.

While Owens never actually stepped on the court in a Kings’ uniform in his rookie year, his draft pick was the start of an impressive decade-long career.

From 1991-2001, Owens played for the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Sacramento Kings, Seattle Supersonics, Philadelphia 76ers, and Detroit Pistons.

Owens collected 7,026 points, 4,016 rebounds, and 1,704 assists. He also earned 569 steals for his various teams and had 82 double-doubles.
