Like every college team across the country, Syracuse football is seeing activity in the transfer portal from both sides of the spectrum.

What I mean by that is the Orange is losing guys from its 2023 roster to the portal, and the ‘Cuse coaching staff has also secured commitments from numerous transfers who are joining the SU program.

Now, given that the Orange has a new head coach in former Georgia defensive backs coach Fran Brown, who was officially introduced by SU Athletics to lead Syracuse football on December 4, it’s not a surprise that the ‘Cuse has seen at least 20 Orange players enter the portal.

Brown replaced Dino Babers. Whenever there is a coaching change in college football, it’s likely that the team with a new head coach will have even greater transfer portal activity.

My point here is that even though the ‘Cuse has lost way more players to the transfer portal than it has brought in this off-season, at least so far, recruiting analysts give high marks to what Brown and his staff have done via the portal.

At the time of this writing, the Orange has secured commitments from at least seven college transfers, led by the team’s highest-rated recruit in many years, Ohio State junior quarterback Kyle McCord, who was a five-star prep recruit and is a high four-star transfer prospect.

Here are Syracuse football players who are in the transfer portal.
