Newly minted 2025 four-star running back Kentrell Rinehart from Ohio said via his X page on Thursday that he will officially visit Syracuse football in mid-June, which is awesome news.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Rinehart, a top-500 national prospect according to one of the composite rating systems, says that he will take an official visit to the ‘Cuse from June 14 to June 16.

The new Syracuse football coaching staff, led by head coach and ace recruiter Fran Brown, continues to line up official and unofficial visits from highly ranked targets in the 2025 and 2026 classes.

Rinehart, I’m delighted to report, is one of the latest top-flight recruits to lock in a trip to Central New York.

Syracuse football has landed an official visit from 4-star RB Kentrell Rinehart.

Last month, Rinehart disclosed a top five of the Orange, N.C. State, Minnesota, Indiana and Kentucky. Another Atlantic Coast Conference squad, Miami, is one to monitor in his recruitment as well.

In early March, Rinehart said on X that the Hurricanes had offered him a scholarship. A post on X from 247Sports recruiting analyst Allen Trieu notes that Rinehart plans to take an unofficial visit to Miami later on in March.

Rinehart, who has received more than 20 offers from a range of high-major programs throughout his recruiting process, picked up a scholarship offer from the ‘Cuse on December 20 of last year.

In late January of this year, he took an unofficial visit to Syracuse football during one of the Orange’s junior days.

As a junior in the 2023 season, Rinehart went full beast mode for Bishop Ready High School in Columbus, Ohio. He produced a ridiculous 3,003 all-purpose yards and 46 all-purpose touchdowns over 12 games.

Rinehart, though, will spend his senior year at Westland High School in Galloway, Ohio. Speaking of Westland, one of Rinehart’s teammates there will also visit the ‘Cuse soon.

Not too long ago, talented 2026 safety/athlete Emoni Smith, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound player at Westland, said via his X page that he would visit Syracuse football on April 4.

When Rivals.com recently updated its 2025 national rankings, Rinehart arrived as four stars, No. 24 at running back and No. 14 in Ohio.

As I penned this column on Thursday, Rinehart was also rated inside the top 500 nationally, according to the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking.

While the Orange coaching staff continues to recruit traditional hotbeds such as New Jersey, New York, the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and the rest of the Northeast corridor, Syracuse football coaches are also in pursuit of numerous targets in other states such as Florida and Ohio.

In late February, 2025 four-star cornerback/athlete Dawayne Galloway Jr. of Marion-Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio, included the ‘Cuse among his 12 finalists. The top-100 national prospect also unofficially visited the SU campus the prior month.

Shahn Alston, a 2026 running back/athlete out of Thomas W. Harvey High School in Painesville, Ohio, plans to visit Syracuse football on April 19.
