One of the top offensive linemen across the country in the 2026 class will visit Syracuse football in early April.

According to a recent tweet from The Juice on Rivals, four-star sophomore All-American Darius Gray from Virginia will make a trip to the Orange on April 2, which is fantastic to hear.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive tackle is a standout at the St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Va. Gray was fabulous in the 2023 season as a sophomore, earning All-America status as well as various honors in Virginia.

While it’s encouraging that Syracuse football head coach Fran Brown and his staff will get a visit from Gray, the competition to ultimately win out for him is undeniably steep.

His early offer sheet, which already totals more than two dozen, includes some of the top programs in college football.

Four-star sophomore OT Darius Gray will visit Syracuse football.

Per a recent post on his X page, Gray has numerous other spring visits on the books to schools such as Clemson, Penn State, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Michigan and South Carolina.

According to media reports, Gray picked up a scholarship offer from the Orange in June of 2023.

Per recruiting services, his full offer list includes Alabama, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, N.C. State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Indiana and Texas A&M, among others.

Gray’s offer from the ‘Cuse came when head coach Dino Babers was still leading the team, but Gray continues to have an interest in Syracuse football and its new staff, led by ace recruiter Brown, according to reports.

In late December of 2023, MaxPreps named Gray to its 2023 sophomore All-America second team on offense, which is a big-time designation.

MaxPreps noted at that time that Gray, following his impressive sophomore season, was selected as an All-State first-squad performer in Virginia as both an offensive and defensive lineman.

Rivals.com currently rates Gray as the No. 97 national prospect within the 2026 class.

When I wrote this article, the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking placed him at No. 76 overall, No. 3 at interior offensive lineman and No. 6 in Virginia.

I’m excited for Gray to check out the SU campus soon. He is one of numerous highly ranked prospects in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting cycles who will head to Central New York on unofficial or official visits in the coming weeks and months.
