Syracuse football coaches continue to prioritize targets in the state of New Jersey, where several Orange coaches are from, as 2025 four-star wide receiver Terrell Wilfong will visit the Hill this weekend.

The 6-foot-5, 176-pound Wilfong said not too long ago via his X page that he will visit the 'Cuse program on April 6. The Orange is in the midst of its spring practices and gearing up for its annual spring game on Saturday, April 20.

Wilfong is a standout junior at West Orange High School in West Orange, N.J.Β On February 29 of this year, he said via his X account that he was re-offered a scholarship by the new Syracuse football staff, which is led by head coach and ace recruiter Fran Brown.

According to his bio on the 247Sports Web site, when I wrote this article, Wilfong had tallied 17 scholarship offers. Besides the 'Cuse, his offer list includes Cincinnati, Connecticut, James Madison, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Boston College, California, Penn State, Tennessee and West Virginia, among others.

Four-star junior wide receiver Terrell Wilfong is visiting Syracuse football this Saturday.

For what it's worth, at the time of this writing, On3's recruiting prediction machine had Penn State in the lead for Wilfong, with the 'Cuse at No. 2. The industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking placed him as four stars, No. 366 nationally, No. 54 at wide receiver and No. 13 in New Jersey within the 2025 cycle.

Over at Rivals.com, Wilfong is three stars, No. 94 at his position and No. 15 in the Garden State. On3, meanwhile, ranks him as three stars, No. 51 at wide receiver and No. 13 in New Jersey.

To date, Brown and his staff have secured at least 11 verbal commitments in their 2025 class, with all but one of those pledges arriving since mid-March. This Syracuse football cycle includes several four-star prospects and many who are rated as three stars.

When I penned this column, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite had the Orange's 2025 class inside the top 20 around the country, which is impressive.

Earlier this week, the 'Cuse notched a verbal commitment from 2025 three-star wide receiver/defensive back Julian McFadden, he announced on his X page.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound McFadden, out of La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pa., near Philadelphia, took an unofficial visit to Syracuse football on March 21 of this year and was offered a scholarship by the Orange staff then.
