Syracuse Football: 4-star running back from Canada will visit ‘Cuse later this month
By Neil Adler
Four-star running back Antwan Raymond, a nationally ranked prospect in the 2025 class who hails from Montreal, has some spring visits lined up, including one to Syracuse football.
Per a post on X from Rivals.com national analyst John Garcia Jr., the 5-foot-11, 200-pound Raymond will go on an unofficial visit to the Orange on March 23.
According to Garcia, Raymond has other unofficial visits in March scheduled for South Florida, West Virginia and Rutgers.
Raymond is a highly sought-after prospect in the junior cycle. Per 247Sports, he has collected nearly 30 scholarship offers from a range of high-major programs.
The new ‘Cuse coaching staff, led by head coach and ace recruiter Fran Brown, offered Raymond a scholarship on February 11 of this year, he said on X.
Syracuse football will soon get a visit from 4-star RB Antwan Raymond.
In the most recent 2023 season, as a junior at Clearwater Academy International in Clearwater, Fla., Raymond was absolutely fabulous.
He generated close to 2,000 all-purpose yards. On the ground, Raymond rushed for 1,884 yards and scored 22 touchdowns. Through the air, he hauled in 94 receiving yards.
Besides the Orange, according to recruiting services, Raymond’s full offer sheet includes college squads such as Auburn, Boston College, Kansas, Maryland, N.C. State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Indiana, Miami, South Carolina and Texas A&M, among numerous others.
Rivals.com rates Raymond as four stars and as the No. 22 running back in the 2025 class. When I wrote this article, the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking had him at No. 475 overall, No. 40 at running back and No. 65 in Florida within the junior cycle.
Over the past few months, Syracuse football coaches have picked up a lot of exciting momentum with their 2025 recruiting efforts.
In the coming weeks and months, a variety of high school juniors plan to take unofficial or official visits to the Hill.
Additionally, the Orange of late has made final list cuts for a bunch of highly ranked targets in this class.
In late January, the ‘Cuse got on board with its 2025 cycle when four-star edge and top-300 overall player Sharlandiin Strange of Cheltenham High School in Wyncote, Pa., verbally committed to Syracuse football over other finalists Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Southern California.
