Jamie Tremble, a 2024 four-star tight end/wide receiver from Georgia, plans to officially sign with Syracuse football this week, and he’s made a huge jump in national rankings for his class.

SyracuseOnSI publisher Mike McAllister first reported that the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Tremble will sign with the Orange on Wednesday, when the early signing period for 2024 players begins.

Tremble was one of roughly 20 prospects on the ‘Cuse campus this past weekend taking visits to Syracuse football.

As I noted late last week, some media reports had indicated that Tremble wasn’t planning to sign with the Orange during the early signing period, as he was eyeing official visits to some other suitors.

However, as McAllister wrote, “This weekend's official visit to Syracuse changed those plans.” Just fabulous news.

Syracuse football 2024 four-star commit Jamie Tremble is soaring in national ratings.

On Monday, 247Sports refreshed its national rankings for the senior cycle. When I wrote about Tremble last week, 247Sports had him at No. 244 overall, No. 17 at tight end and No. 32 in Georgia.

In the new 247Sports ratings, Tremble checked in at No. 196 nationally, No. 13 at tight end and No. 23 in Georgia. That’s a national increase of 48 spots, which is impressive.

When I wrote this column on Monday night, the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking placed Tremble at No. 277 nationwide, No. 18 at tight end and No. 30 in Georgia.

Tremble, who verbally committed to the prior Orange coaching staff in mid-June of this year, is a senior at The Wesleyan School in Peachtree Corners, Ga.

He had a terrific 2023 season. Per the MaxPreps Web site, as a senior for Wesleyan, Tremble hauled in 58 catches for 1,178 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Not too long ago, several recruiting analysts noted that Tremble was thinking about taking official visits in the near future to a couple of schools. Among the teams mentioned in this regard were Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Duke and Northwestern.

Tremble was initially recruited by the former ‘Cuse coaching staff. On December 4, Fran Brown was introduced as the Orange’s new head coach, replacing Dino Babers.

For Brown and his assistants to hold onto Tremble is wonderful. Currently, Tremble is the highest-rated commit in the Syracuse football 2024 class, according to 247Sports.

Over the past week or so, the new Orange coaching staff has landed verbal commitments from numerous 2024 players, as the early signing period is nearly here.
