According to recruiting analysts, a couple of college teams are apparently looking to flip Syracuse football 2024 four-star commit Jamie Tremble from Georgia, who verbally pledged to the Orange in mid-June of this year.
Tremble, a highly athletic and talented 6-foot-4, 210-pound wide receiver/tight end in the senior class, is likely not going to officially sign with Syracuse football during the early signing period for 2024 prospects, which is set to arrive on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
That’s according to recent reports from Rivals.com national analyst John Garcia Jr. and recruiting analyst Charles Kang of The Juice Online.
However, per Garcia, Jamie Tremble is “still high on the (Syracuse football) program and says there’s a reason he hasn't decommitted.”
The Orange does have a new coaching staff in the fold, led by former Georgia defensive backs coach Fran Brown, who was officially introduced by SU Athletics as the new ‘Cuse head coach on December 4, succeeding Dino Babers.
Syracuse football 2024 four-star commit Jamie Tremble has interest from other suitors.
Tremble is a standout senior at The Wesleyan School in Peachtree Corners, Ga. He put together a strong 2023 season, and you can check out some of his senior-year statistics courtesy of the MaxPreps Web site.
Earlier this week, in a piece on Rivals.com, Garcia wrote that teams such as Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Duke and Northwestern “are trying to get him on campus in December and January.”
Garcia added that Brown and his staff are also likely in the mix for an official visit from Tremble, “so this recruitment could be a busy one ahead of February 7” of 2024, which is when the regular signing period commences for prospects in the senior cycle.
Kang, in his story this week, writes that, according to Tremble, “he’s planning on taking official visits to Georgia Tech, Duke, Northwestern and Syracuse, and will make his decision in February.”
According to recruiting Web sites, Tremble holds scholarship offers from Duke and Georgia Tech, but it’s unclear to me whether Texas A&M and Northwestern have offered him at this juncture.
On Thursday night, Tremble said via his X page that he was going to be taking a visit to the Orange this weekend, which is fabulous news.
I’ll certainly monitor how everything plays out in Tremble’s recruitment in the coming weeks and into early next year.
