Syracuse Basketball: Sadiq White, Kiyan Anthony fall in rankings; 4-star target soars

A Syracuse basketball commit and various recruiting targets made some major moves when Rivals.com updated its national top 150 in the 2025 class a few days ago.

At this juncture, the Orange staff has one verbal pledge in the senior cycle, from talented forward Sadiq White Jr. out of Charlotte, N.J. White verbally committed to the 'Cuse in late May and took an official visit to Syracuse basketball last weekend.

Recently, several Orange 2025 targets have pledged to other programs or not included Syracuse basketball in their list cuts. However, 'Cuse coaches continue to pursue a handful of high school seniors, as the team looks to add a couple of highly rated 2025 prospects to join White in this cycle.

Sadiq White Jr.
As I already noted, he verbally pledged to the Orange in the late spring. A senior at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., White is rated five stars by several recruiting services. He has now visited the Hill three times.

Shon Abaev
The senior at the Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was offered a scholarship by the 'Cuse in late April of this year. The wing/small forward took an official visit to Syracuse basketball in late August.

Kiyan Anthony
The shooting guard, who is in the top 30 nationally per several recruiting services, picked up his Orange offer in November of 2022 and took an official visit to Syracuse basketball in late October of last year. Anthony, who attends Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y., has the 'Cuse in his top six.

Tyler Jackson
Offered by the Orange in late April of 2023, Jackson is a senior in the Atlanta-based professional league Overtime Elite. He took an official visit to Syracuse basketball in late January of this year.

Asher Elson
The fast-rising big man secured a scholarship offer from the 'Cuse in mid-April of this year. He will spend his senior year in Overtime Elite as well. Currently, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite has the power forward/center as four stars and in the top 120 nationally.
